ABOUT

Yuzhnogorsk is a chill university town tucked away in the southern hills and mountains. Winter here is super short, lasting just a week, while summer stretches out for six months. Our main guy, Maxim Anisimov, comes all the way from Siberia, not just for studies but to find his childhood friends who disappeared three years ago.

Max is set on his goal. But as he digs deeper. He uncovers more about Yuzhnogorsk and it is quirky residents. From the tale of the graffiti queen at the local anticafe to the mystery of the explosion in an abandoned movie theater, and the sudden vanishing of the town’s best pianist, there’s a lot to discover. Max might even find out more about the “Master of the Given Circumstances,” the mysterious theater figure his friends Chris and Sasha were searching for.

What better place to experience the dawn of first love than in a college town where summer vibes are always in the air? The game demo gives you a taste with two and a half chapters of the prologue, setting up the main characters and the plot. You may also be interested in the game Welcome Home.

Young Hearts unfolds through a prologue and four stories, each linked to one of the girls in Max’s life. Which story you dive into and how it ends is up to your choices. Currently, the game has two complete stories, with plans to release two more soon. Meet Anya Fortova, aka Forte, a first-year architecture student full of energy and optimism, always seen zipping around on her skateboard. Then there Kathrin Richter. A German student with a knack for writing. Who spends her free time people-watching and scribbling stories in her notebook.

Forte’s story, “Youth-Adolescence Beyond the Northern Snow,” takes about 4-6 hours to read and has three endings. Kathrin’s tale, “The Black Hearts Ocean,” is a bit longer at 6-9 hours, also with three possible endings. More stories featuring pianist Veronika Sennhova and Max’s old school friend, artist Dasha Grafova, are in the works. Through these narratives, you will uncover the history of Yuzhnogorsk. Dive into its theater and jazz scenes, and maybe even learn the fate of Max’s missing friends. We are excite to share Nika and Dasha’s stories soon, so stay tuned!
