Thus Hiroshi is sent to work in Akita and formally the Nohara family relocates to a beautiful rural town. They live in this old Japanese farmhouse that they rent out and just hang out—it’s pretty lax even grandpa Shinnosuke shows young boy how to catch bugs and fish which is big no no in the wilderness out here. All of them sit around the fireplace every night, having some mouth-watering Akita dish I presume. The Kid is enjoying his life making friends speaking with farmers and just having the time of his life.

Then one day everything gets surreal. Their dog, Shiro comes home covered in soot and then runs away! The man leaves immediately and Shinnosuke follows him and without intending it, Shinnosuke gets on an unknown train to Coal Town from the Showa period. This is a really active place, with lots of blue-collar workers and; and shinnosuke even has a completely different adventure with a mysterious girl. While there’s no grand plan for the fate of Coal Town, hanging out is an important part, though. Shinnosuke finds himself doing things. From catching fishes and food items to racing trolleys. The trolleys are crazy—you can build up creative and exciting components for speed or actually to fight. Also, Shinnosuke learns about a diner owner suffering through some new dishes, also fish and bugs hunting for Shinnosuke’s collections and invents something funny with this genius young inventor. Seems to be some kind of he PieTown and the Great Adventure roll into one.

Thus Shinnosuke’s journey from the countryside to the energetic Coal Town is replete with change and discovery of new worlds adding a very important aspects of new friends and last but not the least – furious trolley races!! With or without a bike, he’s ready for the next round – be it cultivating tomatoes or competing in a race.
