Having lost her mom, Prim discovers the fact that her dad is Death. Yeah, that’s right; the death of the dead person as known as the grim reaper. Now she is married to him and lives in the Realm of the Dead, and I bet he isn’t doing much to earn the father of the year award. But due to the confinement to her movements ordered by her father, Prim has to exercise that freedom at 16 by escaping from him. But that is where things get crazy; her powers act all kinds of crazy causing some extremely catastrophically experiences!

At one point, Prim goes down into the Underworld to ‘fix’ it therefore she gets to learn a lot of things throughout her journey besides she meets some interesting characters along the way. That is a real challenge for her and for her determination and a rather presentable example of her ability at work. Can you find a place where Prim can be happy, or is it crucial to her story that her journey is going to disrupt the tried-and-tested way the universe works? Basically, PRIM is about a dad learning how to not stress, and a girl emancipating herself. But let me clarify that; it’s also an exciting journey with lots of magic and some twists and turns too. During the narrative Prim switches between the Realm of the Dead and the Land of the Living becoming alive again at some point. When she meets annoying, pompous demons on her way, she has to fight them, and her companion is a small eye with spider arms and legs. It has a lot of comedy and drama, kinds of funny and kinds of cute and it is all about families, sort of, and friends, and it’s about life, and, and it’s about dying.
