Notari had always known this day would come where she would be separated with her best friend, Miroita and never really expected it to be like this. Who kidnapped Miroita, the Institute or the military, or the Federation which was kidnapping people all the time? At this point, it did not matter a lot. All Notari was certain of was that everyone involved would have to pay. With Luciolla, the AI Miroita created, as her only ally, Notari clung to a single hope: Indeed, as of the time of writing, Miroita is alive. This thought kept her going thus living each and every day to the fullest hoping that Miroita was out there somewhere waiting to be found. She began to calculate how she would be able to let her down when she was the one who had been let down.

In Mirage Feathers you experience Neverworld’s Notari as the FEATHER program’s Federation cybernetic air-superiority fighter. That’s more of an anime-style rail shooter where you fight an endless horde as you have to show your accuracy with ammunition that never runs out and equally powerful weapons. With the advanced fire control you get to aim at targets as they pass through your cross-sectional line and then make clean, devastating hits.

In the course of the game, more weapons specs can be unlocked from defeated enemies, and there are many customization options that adapt to the player character’s fighting style.
