ABOUT

In Insect Swarm you are marooned on a planet teeming with hostile insectoid foes and your sole objective is to stay alive. Picture oneself piloting the Mecha and having to fend alien hordes consisting of insects with the help of ranged firearms and bladed or blunt melee tools. It is possible to switch between modes and upgrade one’s weapons and Mecha without a limit provided the required resources have been source. It’s as if one big free for all where you kill hundreds of bugs all the time and in the mean time, you are mining for minerals on a desert planet.

This planet wasn’t always like this: the people here had come to mine the valuable crystals while they were peacefully drilling when a huge host of “Blood Insects” attacked out of rage that we had interfered with their burrow. These crystals? Yes, think of them as ‘compressed bugs’ or if you prefer, semi-lyophilized insect placenta. Otherwise, you are an ant on the receiving end of these nasty bugs, your base razed to the ground and you are trying to survive while killing them. You may also interested in this game Chef RPG.

Keyboard and mouse control will be used for commanding your Mecha and moving around and fighting will be as smooth, but very fast. Essentially there is no level cap and so depending on the availability of resources, you can continually upgrade and hence become stronger. Your goal? Whether it is to escape them, to survive them or even to exterminate those bugs and wipe out the entire planet if need be. Oh and by the way, should the game produce a black screen or should the game freeze at 100% loading, do not panic, just update the graphics driver and you’re good to go!
