ABOUT

Halls of Torment drops you into a horde combat game which could not be more reminiscent of the olddays of late 90s RPG ideals. Selecting from among a plethora of heroes, you immediately get into these horrifying underground corridors, defeating hordes of enemies and when reaching a Lord – you fight him. It makes every run an exercise of upgrading your hero, with cool and exciting abilities, items, and traits which allow you to build your hero in the most insane ways possible, and take them even further into the abyss.

The runs are fast, lasting approximately 30 minutes each but are filled with so much that happens on set. The visuals are completely old school 3D pre-rendered and feel like a genuine blast to the past while constantly leveling up with the quest-based rewards being new weapons, better characters, etc. Classes of monsters are over 70, bosses are 35, and stages are unique 6. It is very strategic after getting to the later levels where it is kinda impossible to beat the Shrine of Torment. Altogether there are 500 quests, over a thousand options for character traits, not counting the variety of ways you can level up your character.
