ABOUT

Fran Bow is a bloody creepy point’n’clicker about a young girl who has to face horrible inner demons and an even worse destiny. Her parents are treacherously killed before her eyes, she run to the woods with only her companion, Mr. Midnight, a black cat given by her parents. Though it goes even a notch higher in horror when Fran is admitted to this eerie children’s mental health facility referred to as Oswald Asylum, and same as the preceding hospital ,Mr. Midnight is absent.

After waking up in this nightmare, Fran knows she has to get the hell out, and try to locate her cat. In her heart she has a strong desire to get back to her Aunt Grace, who is the only she has in the world. The game is all about observing Fran’s dark mind, solving puzzles and going through the messed up world with the help of hand-drawn 2D graphics which does add up to the atmosphere. What is even insane is that Fran has to pop pills to go into this hidden dark world that assists her in solving puzzles and searching for clues. In the process, you come across more than fifty characters that are peculiar in their mannerisms and even assume the role of the enigmatic Mr. Midnight at some point. This game has no voice acting, however, has the original soundtrack, and some cool arcade style mini-games Fran Bow is a gorgeous horror game with a strong emphasis on the narrative.
