Fine, so Copycat is this indie game, which is set to be sentimental. It is all about a pet and its owner. Both of whom are in desperate attempts to survive but being left alone. On one side, you have this common shelter cat, Dawn, who has grown merrily disinterested in people and believes she’s supposed to be out in the wild. However, on the other side, a woman named Olive is depicted as older lady who has been encountering loss of her companion animal. It is like two broken hearts struggling to know how they can fit together and work as a single unit when the lovers come face to face.

Dawn is completely determined to runaway at the beginning of the book but her views begin to change when she meets Olive. They build this quite deep bond and it’s all just so romantic sweet and lovely. However, just when everyone is set, Olive falls ill and somebody else appears to deceive everyone and take Dawn’s seat. Well, now Dawn is back on the streets, roaming roofs and cardboard-boxed-cramped-ifcied passages of this or that city, questioning what ‘home’ is. The overall goal of the game is quite laid back with spaces in between to embrace all the feelings that it encompasses—love, loss, and acceptance. Luckily, it is a full voiced game with an original soundtrack that will make you cry sometimes. The attitude of the story is really dark and the game deals with such topics as rejection or family drama, which makes it relatively impactful.

If you are going through it yourself, it’s comforting to know that woe is not you, enjoy Copycat. It can take quite a while and it is alright and don’t hesitate to seek help if needed. This game is dedicated for healing and its phrase is ‘one paw print at a time’.
