What The Class of ‘09 series does is take the visual novel genre all the way around and gives us an America sitcom style game where you can just jump right in. This turn based social game that is set from 2007 to 2009 represents mean teenage girls in their social environment promises real life experiences of the lead developer. It is almost like going back to high school but way more drama, more humor more sass.

Initially, it took the series some time to gain popularity, but in 2023, the live-streams gained significant popularity on Twitch and TikTok, although it became truly popular thanks to the Nicole’s arc. But now the play is focused on Jecca — Nicole’s blonde best friend, and you have to help her solve the personal issues she has.
